Customer Licensing Manager (Remote)

  • High-level understanding of Cisco licensing, including Enterprise Agreements.
  • Proven experience with Cisco Smart Accounts, Cisco Virtual Accounts, and Cisco Commerce Workspace.
  • Analytical and inquiring approach to IT licensing and software models.
  • Passion for resolving challenges.
  • Customer engagement and/or advocacy experience.
  • Highly detailed, analytical, and organized with the ability to manage multiple open tasks and projects in an effective manner.
  • Experience of two or more years in the fields of Customer Success, IT Licensing, Sales, Project Management, IT Operations, IT Engineering, or Business Analysis.
  • Strong mathematics ability, including the ability to quickly convert between time periods (monthly vs. annually) and units of measure.
  • Comfort with the uncertainty – and certainty – of change.



Secure Data Technologies is searching for a lead member of its Lifecycle Team. The Customer Licensing Manager places customer experience and value first, partnering with customers to understand their business and to expertly design licensing solutions that achieve their business goals. As part of the Secure Data team, the Customer Licensing Manager advocates for the customer, providing enhanced value while ensuring customers view Secure Data as their trusted advisor.

The Customer Licensing Manager will work with the Secure Data Sales and Solution Architect Teams to engage directly with customers on licensing projects. From simple renewals to replacements, upgrades, and migrations of software and licensing models, the Customer Licensing Manager applies their deep understanding of IT licensing and software solutions to their understanding of each customer situation. The Customer Licensing Manager will quote, order, and process these transactions, while also engaging with customers on an ongoing basis regarding general licensing usage. The ideal candidate is highly detailed, curious, analytical, and enjoys leveraging their knowledge to work with both data and people to identify and successfully resolve business challenges.

JOB DUTIES (not all-inclusive)

  • Assist with preparing proposals for software, license, and support renewals.
  • Ensure all customer contract terms are completely and accurately documented.
  • Assist Secure Data engineers and customers by quickly identifying and communicating licensing and software information during time-sensitive projects.
  • Along with the Lifecycle Team, ensure all software, license, and support renewal opportunities are identified addressed.
  • Review orders processed by third parties, and where necessary, resolve all inaccuracies.
  • Communicate renewal opportunities to account managers and assist with sales communication where necessary.
  • Identify and communicate areas for internal and external process improvement.
